Jilson Racing Update - by Mark Jilson
Saturday night April 5th, Matt hauled the Decker Motorsports #1 Pure Stock up to Black Rock Speedway in Dundee, NY for the Black Rock Lid-Lifter 50 lap Street Stock Showdown. With Tony in the pits as the Craftsman Trucks were idle, Matt piloted the #1 to a fine 9th place out of 36 starters.
On April 26, Jilson Racing switched over to asphalt and took the Mean Green 17 Machine to Chemung Speedrome for practice but only 2 laps into the 1st session the engine let go and the team was finished for the day.
May 10th was Opening Night at Chemung after May 3rds rainout and we had a completely finished #17 Super Stock ready for action with a new motor. Unfortunately at lap 5 of the heat race, the car suffered terminal engine failure once again and the team was finished for the evening.
Tony has been promoted to Chief Truck Mechanic on the Germain Racing #9 Craftsman Truck and has moved to the Front Tire Changer position during the race. Congratulations Tony!!!

Jilson Racing Update - by Mark Jilson
Sorry about the lack of updates during the 2007 season. Matt raced part time in the Pure Stock division mostly at Red Line with a few other races here and there. He was running a fairly old & out dated car but he was having a lot of fun tinkering on it. His best finish for the season was a 3rd place at Red Line.
Tony continues to crew for the Germain Racing NASCAR Truck teams as well as work in the Germain shops.
Stay tuned for 2008 as Matt is working on putting together his program for this year. He just sent his chassis off to paint and it looks like he'll be running in the Super Stock class at Chemung. BUTTTT we may have some other interesting news a little later in the season and maybe even some in-car video if the equipment that Mark picked up over the winter works out.
