Jilson Racing is a family owned and operated Sportsman Modified and Street Stock race team, owned by Matt and Tony Jilson. The Jilson Racing team members have been long time racing fans with many interests and experiences in racing. We are actively seeking individuals or companies who are interested in an opportunity to be a team sponsor for the current season and beyond. Through exposure and visibility you can take advantage of the most cost effective advertising available today.

What makes sponsorship of a race team an excellent investment? Regardless of your product(s), the benefits to your company are many. With live radio or tape delayed televised broadcasts, the popularity of the sport has increased resulting in huge advertising venues for sponsors. Today, more than ever, motorsports offers one of the most unique and effective opportunities to promote and sell products and services.

It is a fact that racing events have a huge following. Racing fans are strongly loyal to the sponsors and products advertised by their favorite drivers and teams. Fans associate the purchase of sponsor products or services to the personal support of their driver or team.

Excellent exposure opportunities for your company and or products to the race fans may include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • At the track - before, during or after a race
  • Driving/pulling a hauler on the highway to an event
  • Car shows and Company events with the car and or driver/team
  • Web site link from the race team web site

OK, so you're convinced of the benefits a sponsorship can bring to your company. How do you get started? We welcome all sponsors and recognize not everyone has the ability to finance a large sponsorship package. That's ok, because everyone helps and through the years it's been the smaller sponsors that have gotten racing started and staying active. We are very flexible and will accept products as well as monetary sponsorship. For major sponsors we will custom tailor our car colors, logos and numbers to them. Our crew members are outfitted with matching shirts also. Keep in mind that besides the race car, the hauler is available for sponsor logos and colors.

Here's a little history of our racing experiences:

2002:             Crew member for Duane Ellis sport modified at Oswego and Tioga Motorsports Park.

2000-2002:     Crew member for Huckles Racing Recovery at Chemung Speedrome.

1992:             Crew member for Dave White Motorsports, Inc.out of Tampa, Florida - Racing four Porsches
                     at Sebring Speedway, Florida.

1991-1995:     Crew member and Crew Chief for Victor Franzese racing out of Watkins Glen, NY
Racing in the Firehawk Series. Raced at Watkins Glen, Limerock (CT), Sebring (FL)
                     and Mid Ohio Raceway.

1989-1993:     Crew members for Eric Bodine, owner Bodine Motors, on a Late model and Bush North series
cars. Raced at Shangri-La, Evergreen, Pocono, Apple Valley, Lancaster and New Hampshire.

2003 Racing Results:

2003:             Raced weekly at Chemung Speedrome, Chemung, NY, driving a 1986 Chevy Monte Carlo 350.
Finished 2nd in points with 19 starts, 2 wins and 17 top 5's.
Received 2003 Rookie of the Year award at Chemung Speedrome banquet.
Raced Tioga Motorsports Park. Finished 14th in points with 4 starts and 3 top 5 finishes.
Finished 19th in Nascar Northeast Region Points with 16 starts, 1 win and 15 top five finishes.
Oswego Race of Champions, started 30th and finished 8th.

Our goals in 2003 were to have a top 5 finish in points at Chemung Speedrome, gain knowledge of car set ups and performance, driver experience and to present a professional sportsmanship team. The crew assisted many other race teams who may have had struggles to get them back on the track to have a full field of racers. They also assisted each week with the wrecker crews and track crews with any mishaps that occurred. The team earned tremendous respect from other race teams, owners and track personnel for their conduct on and off the track. We believe we have met and exceeded our expectations for the 2003 season.

Future of Jilson Racing:

As we move into the 2004 season, son, Tony, will be driving the 1986 Chevy Monte Carlo in the 2004 season at Chemung Speedrome and Tioga Motorsports Park. Tony has driven the car in warm ups and in the Mechanics race at Chemung, finishing 2nd. He also has assisted on other teams to gain experience in car performance while learning driver sportsmanship.

Matt will be driving an updated 1996 Troyer chassis, Chevy sport modified at Chemung and Tioga. This will be a new venture for Jilson Racing in 2004, and an excellent addition to a team that has established itself as a contender for a track championship. Also new in 2004 is our web site, www.jilsonracing.com.

Our goals for 2004 are to continue to perform at the top of the field while gaining valuable driver and team experience. To be able to reach these goals, sponsorship will be essential to the team.

As you've seen, Jilson Racing is committed to the sport of motorsports racing. Our top priorities are to our sponsors and fans. To discuss sponsorship opportunities or to learn more about how to get involved, please contact, owner, Matt Jilson at 607-565-3296 or check our web site, www.jilsonracing.com.
